Cinesteam® is a cinnamon-based anti-odor dressing designed to manage wound-related malodor.

Cinesteam® is a non-adhesive secondary dressing that eliminates unpleasant odors and absorbs exudate.

Odour results from the emission of organic volatile compounds detected by the sense of smell. To become an odour, the odorous compounds have to be captured by the olfactory system and are then transformed into a signal that can be detected by the brain.

Cinesteam® is used for malodorous wounds, including:
- Cancerous wounds
- Diabetic Foot Ulcers (DFUs)
- Venous Leg Ulcers (VLUs)
- Pressure Injuries (PIs)
- Other Chronic Wounds

Secure the dressing using :
- Gentle adhesive tape
- Roll gauze
- Elastic wrap (depending on wound location)

– Change the dressing every 1 to 3 days or as directed by a healthcare provider.

–  Adjust frequency based on wound condition and exudate levels.

Do not use occlusive dressings.

It is necessary to use a suitable primary dressing for this kind of wound. Cinesteam® can then be used as an anti-odour solution such as a secondary dressing to alleviate bad smells.
